I am now Dr. Donna Madison-Bell. As a doctoral candidate at University of Phoenix, as of today, October 7, 2014, I successfully passed my Oral Defense. My educational journey in the doctoral program began November 2010.  My research is a Qualitative Phenomenological Study on Prison Volunteers in California’s Correctional System. *But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded – 2 Chronicles 15-7 *

Data Collection

I received full IRB approval for data collection. I've completed my 20 interviews with prison volunteers working with both reentry and educational programs in the correctional system. Research participants from my qualitative empirical phenomenological study are from Northern and Southern California.

Dissertation Proposal Approved

My dissertation proposal [chapters 1, 2, and 3] was approved. Currently waiting to hear from IRB in order to start data collection.
